Last month I photographed my friend Pete as he hosted his monthly “PANDEMIC” dance party @ the Brillo Box in Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh. His Facebook page states that, “The Pandemic party started in Pittsburgh, Pa in 2005 as a collective of three dj’s spinning the best in global sounds. They smash together gypsy brass, cumbia, bailefunk, bollywood, ska, bhangra, bosnian hip hop, bongo flava, thai pop, balkan beats, taureg blues.” Tomorrow night (03.02.12) is Pandemic’s third party of the year at the East End spot.
