I am a wedding photographer primarily serving but not limited to the Southwestern region of Pennsylvania. I work full-time as a photojournalist for the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, PA. My work has most recently been recognized by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors group and the Wedding Photojournalist Association. As a professional documentary storyteller, I offer my photojournalistic eye and instinct to capture emotionally honest moments from a couple's special day. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and knew by the time I was 17 that documenting life with a camera was a passion that I wanted to fulfill. I received my formal photographic education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography, and later attended SALT Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine, where I honed my story telling skills into a fine art. I consider my approach to photography to be passive. I prefer to be quiet and non-disruptive, allowing me to go unnoticed and providing the opportunity to capture real moments as they happen. I believe in the honesty of a true photojournalistic moment as well as understand the history and importance of formal portraiture.
